Kanso is made by Botiverse, Inc. The Kanso app has no account, and it sends us no scan results, file names or usage data.

What stays on your Mac

Scan results, the activity log and your settings are kept in ~/Library/Application Support/Kanso, and logs in ~/Library/Logs/Kanso. Deleting those folders removes them.

What goes to your agent's provider

An agent scan or an agent cleanup starts Claude Code, Codex or Pi, whichever you installed and signed in to. The agent reads your disk while it works: file and folder names, paths and sizes, and the contents of files it needs to check. What it reads goes to that agent's provider under your account and their terms. We do not receive it and do not control what they do with it.

A quick scan uses fixed rules only and starts no agent. The nightly scan is off by default. If you turn it on, an agent runs at that time with nobody watching.

Checking for updates

The second time you open the app, it asks whether to check for updates automatically. If you agree, it asks kanso.botiverse.build whether there is a new version at launch and every 12 hours. If you do not, it asks only when you check by hand. You can change this in Settings at any time.

Like any web request, a check shows your IP address and the app's version to the company hosting that address. It sends nothing else. Downloading an update works the same way.

Permissions Kanso asks for

This website

This site uses no cookies, analytics or trackers, and loads nothing from other sites. Your browser remembers for the current tab if you choose English, so the page does not redirect you again. The company hosting the site may keep ordinary server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested.

Changes

If this page changes, the date above changes with it.
